24K (Karat) represents 99.9% pure gold, containing no other alloy metals. 22K contains 91.6% pure gold mixed with 8.4% copper or silver for durability, making it perfect for bridal jewelry. 18K gold contains 75% gold and 25% other alloys, which is stronger and commonly used for diamond or stone-studded jewelry.

Gold rates change daily because they are linked to international spot prices (traded in USD per troy ounce), fluctuations in the USD-INR exchange rate, import duties set by the government, domestic supply and demand, inflation rates, and global economic stability.

When you buy physical gold jewelry in India, a flat GST rate of 3% is charged on the total value of the gold plus making charges. For example, if the metal value + making charge subtotal is ₹50,000, then 3% GST (₹1,500) will be added to make the total bill ₹51,500.

HUID stands for Hallmark Unique Identification. It is a 6-digit alphanumeric code stamped on every piece of gold jewelry in India by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). It guarantees the purity of the gold and allows tracing it back to the assaying center, preventing fraud.
